Day 1

07.30 – Departure from Shamakhi (Shamakhinka) road in Baku;

09.30 – Shamakhi History and Local Lore Museum

 

Shamakhi History and Local Lore Museum started  refunctioning with a new exposition since November, 2009. The exposition was elaborated based on the project of chief department of National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, PhD Fariz Khalilli. The Museum is composed of 8 halls and a cinema hall. The halls include Departments of Ethnography, Old Shamakhi, Shirvanshahs, Safavids and Shirvan Khanate, Shamakhi in 19th century, Shamakhi in the time of Republic, Shamakhi of Soviet Time and Modern Shamakhi. The film on Shamakhi history is presented by Ilham Namigkamal under echo of Shirvvan shikasta performed by Alim Gasimov. The Museum has a catalogue of all expositions....

 

10.30 – Departure from Shamakhi to Agsu

10.50 – Lunch in Agsu outskirts , Restaurant Mingechavir 

11.50 – Visit to Agsu exposition complex 

12.30 – Survey at Agsu exposition complex

13.30 – Observing archaeological excavations

15.00 – Departure from exposition complex

15.40 – Dinner at Agsu outskirts, Restaurant Mingechavir 

17.00 – Departure to Gaya Resort Center from Agsu outskirts 

18.30 – Gaya Resort Center: relax around the lake, nature walking, football or volley-ball games at the square (due to hot weather). Accomodation 

Day 2

 

 

07.30 – Breakfast at Gaya Resort Center

08.30 – Departure to Lahij

10.00 – Walking in Lahij; acquaintance with blocks, History and Local-Lore Museum, workshops, mosques and bathhouses; shopping 

14.00 – Dinner at Gaya Resort Center

15.30 – Departure to Basgal

16.30 – Acquaintance with kelagayi (national silk kerchief) workshop in Basgal

17.30 – Departure from Basgal to Baku

20.00 – Arrival at Shamakhi (Shamakhinka) road in Baku
