"Azerbaijan and Turkey: Common Values and History" Conference in Malatya İnönü University

Professor of Technical University of Azerbaijan, director of history chair, professor Shikar Gasimov talked about protection of cultural relations and common values of Azerbaijan and Turkey. He stated that, Azerbaijan’s relations with Turkey passed to new stage of development after gaining political independence again. Students stuided in different universities of Turkey play special role in development and widening of these relations. These youth are undertaken great work on deliver of Karabakh realities and Azerbaijani development to Turkic community.  

On 22nd December, 2014 "Azerbaijan and Turkey: Common Values and History" Conference and exhibition“Common Values in Turkic World” of photograph Mammad Rahimov were held in İnönü University in Malatya city of Turkey Republic co-organized by Foreign Students Union of that Unviersity, MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage and INDEX (Center for Human Capital Development of Azerbaijan).
The conference launched with both countries’ anthems. Chairman of Foreign Students Union, Ramal Shamshadli opened the conference, focused attention to the development and spread of education among youth of two countries. Short promotion film about Azerbaijan was presented to the auidence. Azerbaijani students stuided in Malatya University performed our national dances.

Chairman of MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, Ph.D. Fariz Khalilli spoke about the work done in the field of study, protection and promotion of cultural heritage in Azerbaijan lately including archaeological research conducted in medieval Agsu town, conservation work and various international events. He talked about widely archaeological monuments within “Common Cities of Cultural Heritage” international archaeological tourism project in Turkic-Islamic areal including Turkey, and the tours complied. He invited the teachers and students of the University to Azerbaijan for familiarizing with Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage closely and recommended Azerbaijani students studied there to know better Malatya.
At the end of the conference the speakers were presented plaquettes and gifts by the University. Ramal Shamsadly, chairperson for Foreign Students Union, as well as rector of the University, Professor Jamil Chelik were granted “MIRAS Friend” plaguette.
After the conference Azerbaijani delegation visited Malatya major Suleyman Kamchi. They congratulated him on behalf of Foreign Students Union, MIRAS Social Organization and INDEX. During the meeting there was exchange of views on common values of Azerbaijan and Turkey and they wished success to the major for maintenance of wide relations with Malatya.
