Conference Entitled “Khojaly Genocide-20” Took Place in Karadeniz Technical University of Trabzon

  Turkish students, students from other countries and the university teachers participated at the conference along with a number of Azerbaijani students arranged in Karadeniz Technical University. 

 Member of MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, student of Karadeniz Technical University, Turaj Israfilov opened the conference held within the scope of project “My motherland in the world”. Before the speeches, martyrs were commemorated for a minute of silence. The state anthems of Turkey and Azerbaijan were sounded.  

Student of Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon representative of MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, Nahid Israfilzade spoke about constant continuance of bloody actions of Armenians started in Azerbaijani lands in 1905-1906; realization of invader intentions by Tsar Russia, Soviet Union and during independence years in different ways; carried out massacres of hundreds of people because of ethnic relations in Khojaly, in front of modern world. He underscored youth in Trabzon demanded to end acts of genocide like Khojaly, giving the status of genocide to Khojaly based on justice principles and judgment of guilty people at international court.  
Teacher of the University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Okur said they will not forget genocides fulfilled by Armenians in Azerbaijan and Turkey and despite Armenian lies and Armenian fraud; the genocide is protected in documents and memories. He noted violence committed by Armenians in Shamakhi, Baku, Guba and Garabagh in 1918 are documented and actions against their compatriots in Sumgait in 1988 are proved with evidences. Occurrences in Khojaly are oppressions and genocide against Turkic nation.  
The conference continued with video slides and films on Khojaly genocide, Garabagh war and Armenians savagery. 
More than 200 teachers and students participated at the conference arranged in the initiative of Trabzon representative of MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, Nahid Israfilzade and the organization’ s member, Turaj Israfilov.
